I truly like the content in this segment. Keeping the students engaged in synchronous diaglog can be challenging. Typically you know which students will respond to the discussions in the chat and those who just sit quietly in the dark. What I find helpful with one particular class is calling for each student to provide feedback to the discussion, then one that feedback is given, then I petition for other students to comment and ask questions which then pulls the quiet discusser (if I may make up that word...lol) out of their shell urging them to interact more.
So far so good.
