Melissa, Sharing grade and performance data is nearly as important the delivery of the course material. Students who are off track need redirection. And better performing students can be stroked for their effort. Everyone can benefit from advice and suggestions the instructor has to give. Barry Westling

Melissa, Some examples of back up plans I use include stories (from the workplace); end of chapter questions and discussion; and practice exercises that reinforce the lesson topic. Stories nearly always grab the attention of students, and also make for an interesting class too. Barry Westling
