In the Teaching Online: A Student-Centered Approach module one I have learned how to create a course on line. From creating a course framework, to a template, to testing the course and adding learning objects that a student will use within the course. Lots of information for sure! 

Module four of the Online Teaching Techniques has reminded me of the importance of keeping records of communication with students. Also, I appreciated the information on undesirable behavior of online students.

Module three of the Online Teaching Techniques has taught me things that should be done and things that should not be done for both Asynchronous and Synchronous discussions. Specifically, the information regarding the Avoidant, Competitive and Dependent student learning styles reminded me that all student learning styles must be considered when teaching an online class. 

You make lots of good points. When I was reading your comments I felt that a good classroom teacher as well as an online teacher needs to be doing what you have written!

In the second module of Online Teaching Techniques I learned of multiple goals an online teacher should have. For instance, the importance of making your presence known among the students in the course. Also, projecting your authority and building good relationships with one’s students are critical to a successful class environment. Lastly, the module provided ways to accomplish those goals.
