Chelsea, Hi. You bring up a valid point regarding student's reluctance to discuss their concerns with instructors. It is human nature to become defensive when someone is not satisfied with our performance. Students want to avoid any chance of retaliation. Cindy Bryant
Lisa, Integrity in this situation has forced many schools into transparency regarding programs, graduation rates, etc. This has allowed students to go into the school with their eyes wide open which means the school has the opportunity to meet the students expectations. Cindy Bryant
Ashton, Most disclosures are provided prior to enrollment however there may be some disclosures that are provided throughout a students academic career, for example, The Clery Act requires all colleges and universities that participate in federal financial aid programs to keep and disclose information about crime on and near their respective campuses on an annual basis. The Shopping Sheet became available for use beginning in the 2013-2014 award year. Read more... http://www2.ed.gov/policy/highered/guid/aid-offer/index.html Cindy Bryant

Brett, Anytime we are working with students we need to ask as many questions as possible for two reasons 1) to make sure that we understand what they are seeking 2) to make sure that they understand what they are seeking. Good job! Cindy Bryant
Brett, Thank you for sharing your student's situation with the forum. When materials fail to arrive in a timely fashion we [instructors] must be prepared to improvise in a moments notice. Unfortunately it does challenge or creative and organizational skills. Cindy Bryant
