Richard, It is not unusual for some career colleges to have a high population of transient students. They are very difficult to keep up with these students. many schools utilize student services to continuously update student addresses and phone numbers. The best way to stay in contact is through a more stable relative or close friend BUT you must be cautious not to violate FERpa. Cindy Bryant

Elizabeth, When recruiting students the single most important factor is to put the student first. To do this admissions must conduct an a thorough in-depth interview that evaluates the needs and the mindset of the student to determine the career field that best suits thestudents needs. Cindy Bryant

Marcie, The use of mystery shoppers have increased considerably over the past few years. The goal of a mystery shopper is to ensure that the campus is operating in a compliant nature. It is unfortunate that in some instances mystery shopping is necessary for a campus to stay in compliance. Cindy Bryant

Omar, Admissions associates are especially vulnerable to misrepresentation. You deal with an inordinate amount of information (entire catalog)and the opportunity to err is higher than a person that deals with one department or a specific program. Cindy Bryant

Matthew, As an instructor you spend enough time with your students allowing you to get to know them well enough to anticipate their mood and possible discomfort. Dependent upon your schools policy you may want to make an appointment with the student to discuss their discomfort in a non-threatening environment. Allow them to say what is on their mind, then you would refer them to the person that can best address their concerns. Cindy Bryant
