Sonja, Thank you for responding in the forum. It is good that you are able to realize that some of the students are not paying close attention to the disclosures...I am sure that you refresh their memory. Cindy Bryant

Jefferson, Having students do their own research is very important. Being a good researcher involves more than "merely" coming up with a list of colleges to speak with but includes making a comprehensive checklist regarding their program of choice. Samantha, As a person on the front lines, confidentiality is a key to success. Many students share information with you when they are being pre-qualified such as, why they didn't graduate high school, why they have not been successful in the past, etc. It would be devastating if they though that you were sharing their information with others. Samantha, Thank you for sharing in the forum. Cindy Bryant
John, Many people fail to remember what a sincere thank you feels like. Being thanked for doing a good deed or a job well done is a great feeling. Cindy Bryant
Mia, I am impressed that students forms are kept electronically and are always at the staffs fingertips if needed. Bravo! Cindy Bryant

Tyler, As a security guard have you considered the importance of your role in the college? You represent safety and adherence to the rules. I am sure that many times you are asked questions and I hope that this course has enlightened you in the importance of misrepresentation. Thank you for taking the time to join the forum. Cindy Bryant

Yasmir, If you are not familiar with federally mandated student loan interview you may enjoy sitting through an interview to find out more about what the students are being told about their loans. Cindy Bryant

Marsha, An open door policy can be highly effective. Your college has adopted an Open Door Policy for all students. This means, literally, that every associate's door is open to every student. The purpose of an open door policy is to encourage open communication, feedback, and discussion about any matter of importance to a student. Does your open door policy mean that students are free to talk with any associate at any time? Cindy Bryant
