Jesse, The words "for profit" mislead many people and the media capitalizes on it's negative connotation. Some non-profit schools that perform in the same fashion as for-profits do not seem to suffer the same negativity and the only difference is non-profits are required to place their profits (after expenses, including salaries) into improving their educational programs.
