Provide detailed informationt to students: what will be covered, purpose of the course, assignments, tests, grading system, textbooks, resource materials, attendance, late work and makeup.
Be a cheerlleade and motivator to students. Have them apply what they learned.
Know your students and be aware of teaching styles to motivate them. Create a safe environment to have good student participation.
Students set a career path and there is an emotional factor in learning that we need to consider in teaching.
Application and illustration of subject matter are helpful for student to retain information.

Students have differen backgrounds (culture, married, age, working, taking care of elderly, etc.) that affect their motvation to learn.

Performance Groups in the Lounge are integrated with related learning opportunities offered on these portals. With a few exceptions, Performance Groups are also publicly available to any member of the Lounge to maximize peer-to-peer learning and performance outcomes.
