Be aware of different types of students and let them know that you will support them to be successful.

Be supportive of the students and participate in the on line discussions. Consider different time zones when scheduling synchronous discussions. Let them know ahead of time.

It is convenient for students. The instructor should be familiar with technology and able to post information in a  timely manner.

Motivate the students

Conduct diagnostic test to know students' current knowledge.

Learned the student assessments.

Asking questions is a sophisticated art and should be asked appropriately, worded properrly and at the right level.

Have different teaching styles to help students with different preferred learning methods.

Good to know.

Recognize students as they complete the process correctly. This is a motivation for them to be successfull and will not feel being picked on if there issues to be addressed in the future.
