Robert, As we know there is good stress and bad. Bad stress needs to be recognized and controlled with your balance in life. Physical exercise, mental activity and spiritual engagment. We tend to do some of these but not all at times. I wish you luck!
I think you find it beneficial to get some solitude to gather your thoughts. Your method prepares you for the rigors of the day.
Stres is something can control if we have the knowledge that causes stress. Using the tips to avoid stress keeps us on a healthy pattern of living.
Open ended question with no threat is a way to analyze the situation. You can then begin with coaching the person through the situation.
Regognizing your strengths and weaknesses will help to resolve some of the stress you might have had if you didn't understand yourslelf. We some times attack issues we don't understand and need help. This will cause definite stress.
Laughther and a great attitude can avert bad moods and high stress. We can mentor a good attitude as we handle our stress in a positive way. Thinking is clearer with a happy outlook.
Stress and motivation can work together. But is important to know good stress from bad stress. Unhealthy stress needs to be contended with for your own good. Techniques to lower stress needs to be practiced.
Organization is very important about making success in business and with your employees. Availability has to be a priority for you. People respect and depend on your leadership and it is a must have each of them feel like they are a stakeholder in the mission.
You are so correct with your attitude. Keeping an optimistic view will always help with stress relief. My friend the coach at Butler University doesn't focus on what is wrong but on how do we improve and this is a good lesson in stress managment. Outlook is brighter when you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Sometimes it is dim but it is there. What lights can you see and then share them with your fellow employees.
Agenda preparing is all about communicating the expectations of the meeting. People getting off task need to be brought back on point. This is the leader's responsibility. Leadership is key to good meeting. If agenda's are not open ended you can save time. If the meeting is for brainstorming you can even guide this type of deliberation.
