Activity

Chukwuka, Good plan. There is no one way that works best each and every time. You have to be able to read your students and then select a method that will work in that situation. This is how you will be able to connect with your students and get them engaged in the learning process. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Jason, This is a very good point because these informal chats and student interactions are some of the most fun when it comes to teaching. Getting to know students in this way gives you insight into their backgrounds and career goals. This is information helps you to build on their performance in class and growth in their career skills. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Jeremy, You have a very comprehensive and supportive approach to student questioning and sharing. I know your students appreciate how you support them as they ask questions as well as answer question even when they are incorrect or off the mark. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Jason, Two way feedback is essential. You providing it to your students and they in turn providing it to you about course projects and activities. This helps to build rapport and respect between them and yourself. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.

Jason, This is important for all students but especially those older students that have been out of school for a while. They have as you know a lot of fear about being able to be successful in their studies. The more encouragement you can offer them the easier it will be for them to develop self confidence. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Jerry, Like your strategies. The help the students to see how the material that is being presented is going to help them as well as giving them study guides for upcoming quizzes, etc.. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Jason, This is a good strategy to use as it helps the students to see that you have both the experience and expertise to be their learning leader while they are enrolled in the course. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Jason, You need to be clear and concise in syllabus language to reduce the questions that students raise. This will help to keep them focused on the goals and objectives of the course. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Jason, The more real world examples you can use the more valuable the course becomes to the students as the start to see why you are teaching the content you are. Keep up the sharing. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
