Earl, Good advice for all instructors to remember as they share their content. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Debora, You are a great example for your students since you have been where many of them are. You came back to school as a older student and have been successful to the point that now you are an instructor. You do understand them and the challenges they face so you can be a role model for them when they face challenges that might lead them to leaving school. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Kelly, This is a great way to integrate the students into the learning process and to increase their personal value as students. Having a connection with their learning leader helps them to see the reason why they are in school and how their future can unfold. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Debora, This is key for students so they feel a part of the learning community and not just someone that pays tuition. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Ann, Can you expand on this suggestion so we can understand how you use it with your students? Thanks for your input on this. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Barbara, Right you are because if they don't they will spend a lot of time and energy trying to figure out the course requirements and not be able to focus on the learning that needs to occur. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Stacey, Thank you for sharing this example with us. It is a great strategy and I know it will be of help to other instructors, especially those that are just starting their teaching careers. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Stacey, This is why planning for the first class is so important. It is the foundation upon which future class sessions are built. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
