About me

I am an Education Advisor/Consultant for MaxKnowledge. I write courses that assist in the professional development of career college instructors. These courses range in content from the introductory level to advanced instructional development. I started my teaching career as an instructional technology teacher on the high school level, completed graduate school and then moved into higher education. I spent many years in the area of teacher training at the University of Nebraska. While at the University of Nebraska I stared working with career college instructors to improve their instructional delivery skills. As a result of these experiences I have been a consultant to career colleges throughout the United States and a number of foreign countries.

Gerardo, Both of these strategies are great for motivating students and helping them to see the value of the course content. Exposure to these individuals and sites make the all important connection to the real world. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Ron, I use such folks in my class as well. They are great motivators because they tell it like it is. The students start to see as a result of their speaking that what is being taught has relevance to them and their career development. Great motivators for the students since they are role models. Kellie, Student feedback is so valuable so the more of it you can have the better. Your method gives you information that can be used to adapt anything that might need to be changed. This is a great idea that other instructors can used in their classes to gain insight into what students are thinking. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
