About me

I am an Education Advisor/Consultant for MaxKnowledge. I write courses that assist in the professional development of career college instructors. These courses range in content from the introductory level to advanced instructional development. I started my teaching career as an instructional technology teacher on the high school level, completed graduate school and then moved into higher education. I spent many years in the area of teacher training at the University of Nebraska. While at the University of Nebraska I stared working with career college instructors to improve their instructional delivery skills. As a result of these experiences I have been a consultant to career colleges throughout the United States and a number of foreign countries.

Dina, Good list and a great way to expand both your knowledge and expertise. The results will be an even more impact on the lives of your students. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Mark, Well said. Seems that so many students today feel that if they have paid tuition they have bought an A. They need to understand they have to work hard and earn a A, which in turn will help them achieve more in their careers. Continue to keep those standards high and demand the best from your students. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
STEPHEN, Like your standards. We need to keep the goal of high achievement in the minds of our students at all times. They need to feel pride in their skill development so they can leave our courses with craftmanship of which they can be proud. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Angela, This is what makes their education real. They learn about opportunities and then take advantage of these events in a way that expands their contacts and knowledge. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.

Rachele, I agree and use student feedback a lot in my classes, especially after projects and quizzes. This way I get their candid opinions so I can make any needed adjustments. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Rachele, Yes they do because they see the human factor in their teacher and realize they are going to be lead by a professional that cares about them and their success. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Angela, Passion for your field and enthusiasm for teaching about it goes a long way in peaking the excitement of students. We need to bring both elements to class each time we meet with students. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Everett, Like your definition and how you see the impact of your instructional delivery holding and keeping the interest of your students. This is what engaged should be about. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Benjamin, I wish you much success in using the mini-lecture approach. I know you are going to like the results you get with them. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
