You're right, different generations do like their information in different ways. Great observation! Thanks for the follow up Connie.
Good point! What can you specifically discuss during your message that might encourage the student to call you back? Dr. Jean Norris
This is a common obstacle Breanna. What we have seen in recent years is that today's students are quite busy and may actually prefer to learn about your school in a different way, meaning maybe not coming to the campus right away. For those students that can't make it to campus, what could you do differently to provide that student with information to continue the process? Dr. Jean Norris
Thanks for sharing what is done at your campus Connie. I'm curious, how effective is the online catalog with password for getting in contact with prospective students? I'm also glad that you were able to pick up some new ideas from the forum. :) Dr. Jean Norris
Feel, Felt, Found is a great technique for overcoming obstacles and as you noted, helping your prospective student know you are there to help them. Keep up the great work Breanna! Dr. Jean Norris
You're right Christina, listening is both extremely important but also powerful. When we take the time to understand our prospective students we can build better rapport and understand their specific wants and needs. What are some things you do to build rapport during the initial phone call? Dr. Jean Norris
Juan, Excellent point and great awareness! Thank you so much for sharing this practice. Dr. Jean Norris
Connie, That's a great suggestion. Thank you for sharing. Dr. Jean Norris
Juan, Great awareness! In the future, continue you to be aware of this and consider options for change. Great job. Dr. Jean Norris
Christopher, Thank you for sharing this idea. Allowing the student to place him/herself in the classroom can be really beneficial. How do you think this relates to VAK? Dr. Jean Norris
