About me

Antoine Lewis currently serves as the Family and Student Support Liaison for Hoosier Academies in Indianapolis, IN providing a range of services to parents and faculty (K-8). 2013 - 2014 he was the Academic Advisor for Indiana Wesleyan University. He is also a part-time faculty member and consultant at various institutions and has been tutoring and teaching at the collegiate level for various institutions since 2003, specializing in courses related to business, education and information systems. Prior to this, Antoine was a Student Affairs Specialist at Harrison College and an Academic Coordinator for ITT Technical Institute. Overall he has an extensive background in student affairs, academic advising and online facilitation.

Antoine's passion to help students with their education started while at Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), while advising and mentoring student-athletes. Throughout the years, he has provided training to staff and management in regards to database usage and learning management systems to track student progress. He believes in expanding ones knowledge and improving a student’s life, long-term.

John , Cloud services have become important as many instructors now use multiple devices. Being able to share files from home or the office helps stay structured. You can share files with students which adds to the virtual learning process. Good luck expanding on the use of drop box and good docs in your teaching. Antoine Lewis

Anthony, PowerPoint is often a popular tool for all faculty members. You can provide visual aid, text and even audio. Lab exercises are also effective and even better are completing exercises from simulation that can be done. Good job using various teaching methods as students today have a variety of learning styles. Antoine Lewis

Kimberlee, In regards to dental hygiene classroom technology is very important. Today classroom technology at many institutions allow for simulations of administering local anesthesia for example. William, It is good to know that you are delivering course material in a simple way but yet still giving student various teaching methods as students learning differently.
