Donna, One of the admissions process is for the student to take a tour of the school. They need to see the school, the classrooms, labs and equipment. This helps in making that informed decision. Kathie Dherit
Michelle, Right, we have nothing to hide, so if we lay all our cards on the table, the prospective student will know what we have to offer. Kathie Dherit
Walt, This is so true. One small miscommunication during the admission process that is brought up either in class or on break, can bring the whole class down. Kathie Dherit
Dana, True, bad news tends to travel fast. Gaining the trust of the community will help tremendously. Knowing that the community supports the school will help in externship, graduate employment, and even referrals. Kathie Dherit

Adrianne, Like I've said before, you don't want to "surprise" someone with information they should have known prior to signing up for school. Giving them all of the information up front allows them to make that informed decision... Kathie Dherit

Carl, Right, the idea is not to "surprise" the student at the last minute and tell them something that is extremely important and they had every right knowing that BEFORE the signed up for school. Kathie Dherit

Jennifer, Great answer. Even though we all don't deal with students on a daily basis, as the "support" of the school, we still need to do the right thing, because what we do in our jobs affects the school. Kathie Dherit

Rebecca, I agree. We want to make sure the committment the prospective student will be doing towards school and then later a career is what they are looking for. Kathie Dherit
Nanette, Right, sometimes going on and on about something could possibly get you into trouble. Not knowing the answer to something is okay, but let them know you don't know the answer - BUT you will find out the answer for them, or like you said refer them to someone who does know the answer. Gerry, And sharing a positive outcome with others. We want to give the correct information all the time and not just some of the time... Kathie Dherit
