John, Great answer! A mission statement should be what a company adheres to and strives for. With YTI's mission statement, it's what we as school or even a company hope to get from our students. Danielle, Stories and personal issues that a student may confide in you, doesn't and shouldn't be used as an example for other students. You get to specific with a "story" that person may know who you are speaking about without even giving the name. Sometimes it's just better to give a general, brief overview if you are going to use as an example. Kathie Dherit
