Elin, What a great point! I think we do tend to "overdo" online learning because we are so afraid we aren't doing enough. It can overwhelm the student and cause them to isolate themselves because they feel the cannot meet expectation. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Peter, What a great example. You make a great point that should be noticed by all. We may have needed to add another and that is industry expert. I had not thought of that. Great, another pair of shoes. . . . :) Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Angela, We do have quite a bit of responsibility but that comes with the online territory. Isolation is the barrier and we are the ones to break that barrier down. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Julie Ann, That is true but don't you think all good teachers feel that way? I like that you used "successful facilitator" that is indeed true. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Elin, True and you are the first line representing the university. You don't have to know everything, just who to ask! Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Peter, What a great way to engage students. There is nothing wrong in asking students what they think works and doesn't work. I think it is a great strategy. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Jessica, I agree with you. How do you think we should capture their attention in an online environment? What role does the LMS play in all of this? Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Julie Ann, You are correct! Both are so important to student success. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Elin, You are right, the LMS plays a HUGE role in the teaching pattern. It is the canvas of your teaching pattern. It provides guidance. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Jessica, You make a great point, you do need to look at the class as a whole to determine the needs and provide resources. It may be you can create partners to help. Yes, you can do that online! Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
