Mark, You are so right. Student success does depend on your role with each student. In the online environment, you become the go to person for the student. You don't have to know everything, you just have to know where to find it. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Mark, You are right. You have to make sure you are consistent, frequent, and meaningful. Although students are responsible you have to really make it your responsibility to keep working to reach all students. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Mark, What a great post! I think we have to remember not everyone is enamored with technology as many of us are. It is a tool and we need to consider it as one tool in our educational tool box. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Dr. Christopher, Wow, what a post! there are so many variables to "control" when it comes to the technology. You really can't control the device your students have so you have to think about multiplatform. I like to think we use technology that is "platform agnostic". You don't want the technology to be the barrier to learning. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Audrey, Great post! Are you really talking about content or rather delivery. Organization is so important as part of the online environment. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Audrey, True, you may be the only contact students have with your institution. It is so important if you don't know the answer you know where to find it! Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Roshawna, True, but how do you establish a teaching pattern in an online environment. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Audrey, Yes it is about providing information and engaging with students. You are right, they are the most important items to consider; in any teaching environment. m Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Audrey, You make an important point. The content using the technology needs to be organized so it is coherent for the student. When this is not considered students have to click everywhere to study a module and it is hard to make connections when you are always looking to the next place to "click". Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
Raouf , t What a great post! Like you said, it should not depend on the type of environment to do a self analysis. I think we are more apt to analyze ourselves in an environment we aren't familiar with. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson
