I have to believe there are times that the students don't get it right and suggest that an instructor doesn't know what they're talking about when, if fact, they do. How do you handle a situation like that? Loren Kroh

Tough question, Leslie. When students don't/won't take responsibility for their behavior and problems, it is virtually impossible to achieve a positive outcome. Unfortunately, they don't seem to learn from previous experience either. Have you tried peer mentors who have overcome similar problems and can serve as role models? Loren Kroh
