Having a Plan B is very important. Also loved the idea of handing out the 3x5 cards to perform a quick status assessment.

I appreciated the Powerpoint info and advice. I'd like to think that I'm proficient with ppt but it's always good to add knowledge and insight.

Excellent module. My take-homes were the observation sheet, the way to handle guest lectures, and the self-relfection and journaling. All excellent ideas!

I appreciated the distinction between projects and project-based learning. Technology is an important classroom tool that we have to get right in order to effectively reach the Gen Z population. They get it, some of us do not.  And I am one of those who have fought tech for years. I guess I need to get into it.

I worked at a private school that treated lesson plans as an after thought. in fact, they were filled out after class, not before. I always thought they were a waste of time. And they were! A lesson plan should guide and inform your teaching and learning activities and be an important tool for meeting standards.

I'm new to CTE and really appreciated learning the difference between summative and formative assessments. I wish this program had a print screen function. I copied and pasted the list of FAs and plan to inject those into my courses regularly.

It is important to understand the differences between goals, objectives, and outcomes. It is also good to learn about alignment, especially when considering dual credit programs.

No matter what, the safety of our students, and creating an maintaining a safe environment is one of the most important jobs we have. Without safety, there is no learning.

PBIS is a good resource to have. Also, the thought that some of our students have barriers to learning caused by trauma should give us pause and cause us to rethink our approach to all students. Appropriately address issues that occur in class that present barriers to the learning environment.

I think it is very important that I be very mindful and purposeful about the development of a technical advisory committee. Intead of just a requirement, it needs to be a tool that guides and informs the program, with everything from curriculum, to fieldwork placements.
