Thanks for sharing Kristine! Sometimes stress is temporary. A perfect example is when we are in school. During these times, we've got to remind ourselves of our end goals and the ways our lives will substantially change once our short term investments are over.

Moves can be so stressful Bob. There are so many changes and updates that have to be made. Having a checklist where you can put all tasks on paper can really help make things feel manageable.
Excellent recommendation Adam! Thanks for the tip and I'm certain this coping mechanism works great for you. Wonderful to have something you can do at your desk, or wherever you happen to be!
Yes, having a support group is wonderful Paul. It's nice to be able to count on the perspectives of people who are going through similar experiences. To your point, the networking aspect of this is critical. Our networks can typically serve us well in both the near and long term.
Yes, both good strategies Bryce. I think setting reasonable expectations of yourself is particularly important. You've got to realize that you're not going to accomplish it all in one day. It's ok to save some things for tomorrow, and to enjoy life from time to time!

Lots of sources of stress here Monte! This is a great list, but all this must feel overwhelming at times. Your comment about students that are below average is a common one. Many instructors deal with students who do not often meet basic requirements to study in their program. When we lower the bar and allow them to study with us, it can take a toll!
Excellent! So glad to hear you will reorient the way you work to become more efficient Richard. Great approach and good luck!
Hmm, perhaps you are just overloaded Nancy. This may not be procrastination after all. You might want to find a way to delegate if that's possible within your work environment.

Yes, this can be a great source of stress Eric. One method is to start each class by talking about the objectives for the day. This helps orient your students to focus on the material that's most important.
Yes, typically breathing exercises can work despite a busy schedule Andrea. What's great is you can do them anywhere and everywhere you need them. Go ahead and give them a try. Spending just a few minutes on them a day can make a big impact.
