This is a great inventory Jennifer. Thanks for sharing. Your commute sounds really long. This can definitely add stress to your life because it takes time away that you could be using to complete other tasks. You might explore finding ways to make good use of your commute time. Books on tape, calls (in states where your cell phone is permitted in the car) and other activities may help!
That's excellent to hear Jennifer. Far too often I hear the opposite from instructors like you. Many have 'a case of the shoe cobblers' shoes.' It's nice to see an instructor who puts in practice the methods that she teaches.
Excellent to hear. It's always nice when we can harness the power of technology to ensure students are on track Mario. In some cases, technology can make us better as instructors.
Yes, as instructors, we have a range of grading methods available to us. It's wonderful to be able to use some methods to save time grading and others to deeply test student knowledge. Keep up the great work Robert!
What a great approach Ellen! Thanks so much for sharing. It's wonderful when we can stop and smell the roses. It's great to take the time to just enjoy the little things in life. Really helps us redefine our outlook too!

Yes, a lot of stress indeed David! Work stress can be particularly hard to manage when we are experiencing major forms of stress at home as well. The situation you are experiencing with your daughter sounds tough. It sounds like you are balancing a lot right now.
I agree with both points April. I think it's especially helpful to talk to people who have been in your situation before. They have great perspective and often times have come up with helpful solutions that we didn't think about.
Sounds like some change might be needed Robert - especially if you're experiencing negative consequences of not completing assignments until the last minute. However, I should note that some people thrive on situations in which time is running out and these people tend to do their best work then. So do what works best for you.
I agree Dale and I like the word 'thrive' in describing the feeling of getting hooked on a great workout! Once you get into a great exercise routine, it's hard to stop.
Yes, sometimes it is nice to knock a few easy tasks out of your queue before completing complex tasks. It gives us a nice sense of accomplishment. We've got to balance that with actually getting to those complex tasks - which can be tempting to put off!
