Wow, 5-6 hours of sleep doesn't sound like enough Nicholas. Everyone has different needs but it's important to discover yours and cater to them.
I agree Robert. Sometimes the best way to move forward on a task is to first take a step back. While this may seem counterintuitive, it works.
It sounds like you have a good understanding of yourself and what you can do in the future to be more productive. Do try to restructure your prioritization of tasks where possible but do be reasonable with yourself as well - especially in the role of therapist as crises will continue to arise daily.

Sounds like you have stress coming in from all angles Michael. That can be tough. Work, family and economic stress are all a challenge for most instructors.

Some instructors thrive on a little procrastination David. If it works for you and you don't let it get out of hand then it's probably ok.

Really like hearing that you still take the time to decompress after such long days John. I think it takes tremendous dedication to yourself to take a walk at 2am but if it helps, more power to you.
Yes, it's important to have a few different mechanisms to cope with stress. This way, if we don't feel like doing one thing we've got something else in our back pocket to rely on.
