George, That sounds like a healthy approach to prioritization and if it's working for you, great! Some people take it a step further and ask themselves what would happen if they did not complete a task. Thinking about that outcome often helps them gain clarity on priorities too. Dr. Melissa Read

David, Oh no! That sounds stressful indeed. Many of us in the US have experienced extreme weather this winter. Whether we are stuck in our homes, classrooms or on the road, it can be an uncomfortable experience for all. One thing I might recommend is to change things up in these situations and adjust your expectations for what you can accomplish. Sometimes accepting the realities of a temporary, yet difficult, teaching environment can give us peace of mind and help us not be too hard on ourselves. Dr. Melissa Read
David, That's great to hear. Some people watch TV or listen to the radio while on the elliptical. Others spend time with friends on the phone. Sounds like for you, the elliptical is simply a nice break from it all! Dr. Melissa Read
Marianne, That sounds like a good coping strategy to me. When we get outside and break from our routine, particularly with fresh air, we are often able to clear our minds. Dr. Melissa Read
Irina, It sounds like you have a wonderful routine in place! You are right, exercise can help us mind, body and soul. I am curious to hear more about the specific exercises that work well for you. Dr. Melissa Read
Louis, Our lunch breaks are often great outlets. If you have a nice path near work and some good weather, lunch can be perfect for a walk. If you don't, you might consider walking the halls with a friend. Dr. Melissa Read

Eryn, It's interesting to hear how your second job is almost a stress outlet for your first job! ASAP organizations can be tough. We have to do a lot of expectation setting in those scenarios to deliver on time and keep people happy. Dr. Melissa Read
Dan, The typical day in the life of an instructor is often jam packed with activity. That's why you have the right approach by automating everything you possibly can. Dr. Melissa Read
