David, Good that you know that about yourself. Some of us are great at organizing our days but when it comes to getting through them, we have a hard time. My recommendation is to start with a small confidence builder at the start of your day and work your way up to other tasks from there. Dr. Melissa Read
Jennifer, I understand where you are coming from. The subtasks can really help. They make daunting tasks feel less overwhelming and you can chip away at them over time. Dr. Melissa Read
Lizette, So happy to hear you've found such a wonderful outlet. Dancing is a great way to destress and also connect with other people. Dr. Melissa Read
Jackie, So true. Positive influences can go a long way. We often key off of these people too, feeling more positive ourselves because of our interactions. Dr. Melissa Read
Donna, Sounds like a good plan. You have a few good outlets already and that's great to hear. Tweaking a little more by changing the way you get to work will take you even farther. Dr. Melissa Read
Susana, So true, looking ahead at projected outcomes can really help us focus in on the best things to work on today. Dr. Melissa Read
Harrison, Words to live by. Glad you got such great perspective early and to see that you are passing it on! Dr. Melissa Read

Dennis, That sounds like a tough spot and I understand exactly where you are coming from. Student motivation can be low at times. We have high hopes for them and it can be disappointing when they do not aspire to do great things. Ultimately, we want them to be successful but we can't be motivated for them. We've got to find a way to inspire them to drive toward what we hope for them. Dr. Melissa Read
Nicole, That sounds like a good strategy. Priority tasks need time and focused attention. When we don't focus, we often end up having to do rework. So it's important to do tasks once and do them right. Dr. Melissa Read
Dawn, That sounds like a wonderful plan. What's great is that short walks and stretching are something you can easily do in the workplace environment. This means that you have access to your coping mechanisms all the time, which can be useful when you are faced with the sources of your stress in environments outside the home. Dr. Melissa Read
