Jeanette, It sounds like you lean a little more toward the side of immediacy when compared to procrastination. Most of the time, this is probably a positive force in your life - though i know this can feel stressful too. Yes, it's important to remain flexible once you've written out a list, understanding that sometimes priorities must change. Dr. Melissa Read

Carrie, So true! Stress can come from so many different sources. Both work and family sources can take their toll. Sometimes it feels like everything is a priority and this can be hard to balance. Dr. Melissa Read
Kelly, That sounds like a wonderful investment. You should let your administration know about your positive experience if you haven't already. Sometimes, a little positive feedback can keep your team heading in the right direction and help you succeed too! Dr. Melissa Read
Glenda, Sounds like a great plan. Small changes like these can make such a dramatic difference, especially as we use them over time. Dr. Melissa Read
Jeanette, Excellent approach! This will save you a significant amount of time. It will also help your students focus on providing all components of each answer. Dr. Melissa Read

Craig, Sounds like you have a great handle of the diversity of stress sources in your life. That's a great place to start. Looking through this list, it's likely that you can identify some stressors that can be eliminated and reduced. Others likely can only be managed and that's ok too. Dr. Melissa Read
Jeanne, It sounds like you have learned to prioritize function over form. This can be a difficult lesson. Often times, instructors want to make their lists look great. They feel this keeps them organized. The truth is, it's not about how they look but much more about how they are working for us. Sounds like you understand that well! Dr. Melissa Read
Alexandra, Grading projects can be tough and time consuming. I see your point. Yes, the highlighting approach works well and I highly recommend it. I should note that another approach that can work well is asking students to complete their projects in portions throughout the semester. This way, you have smaller amounts of work to grade. Kyra, Interesting approach. While most people use circling and highlighting, sounds like you are identifying priority tasks by their positions on your list. If it works for you, keep it up! Dr. Melissa Read

William, Sounds like you have a good handle on both what's stressing you out as well as what's important to focus on. That's a great place to start. I meet a lot of instructors who simply don't know what's really bothering them, and this can be a difficult place. Dr. Melissa Read
