Jim, Sounds like you have a few great outlets. Wonderful to hear. Model trains are not something I hear a lot about from instructors but I imagine they can be great at taking your mind off of things. Dr. Melissa Read

Jim, It sounds like you experience stress due to the dynamics of the teaching environment. It seems that every semester, there is a world of change. We have new textbooks, technology and students to adjust to all the time. Any one of these changes would be tough. In combination, it's a lot to deal with. Dr. Melissa Read
Craig, So true. When we prioritize, we are far more effective as teachers. We are focused on what's important, and this translates to better experiences for our students. Dr. Melissa Read
William, Excellent to hear! It sounds like you know what you need to change to take a more optimal approach and have a great plan for getting there. That's the best you can really hope for. Yes, prioritization is the key. With it, we have a lot more focus and clarity around what needs to get done when. Dr. Melissa Read

Duane, That sounds very frustrating. It is particularly tough to commit to doing work quickly when we don't believe that work is of value or that our priorities should be elsewhere. Dr. Melissa Read
Stephen, So glad to hear you have found bike riding to be a great outlet. I imagine this works particularly well during sunset and sunrise to your point. It's great to be able to get outside and enjoy nature! Dr. Melissa Read
Jim, Thanks for sharing these great tips. Sounds like you are automating a lot. That's wonderful to hear. I'd love to hear more about what you do with the time that you save! Dr. Melissa Read
Jim, Sounds like you have found an approach that works great for you. Excellent to hear. Yes, sometimes list review is important before starting tasks. Emotionally, we may label a task with a number 1 when really it should logically fall lower on the list. Dr. Melissa Read
