Peter, Sounds like it was a good class for everyone! Renee Shaffer
Dr. Cecil, Excellent points. I always make sure to tell all of my students about the opportunities available to them in reference to the Office of Disabilities. Often times, they are unaware that they have disabilities which can be assisted. Renee Shaffer

Karen, Good points. It really is a great idea to ask the student what would work better for them. Many times they have never been asked. Renee Shaffer
Excellent ideas. These short snippets also helps keep them on task which assists them in completing the work assigned.
Thomas, It is always so much easier to make course content accessible from the beginning than to retroactively do it. That is the essence of good course design. Renee Shaffer
Thomas, Yes, good point. But remember it is also up to the instructor to make the course content available for everyone. Renee Shaffer

Thomas, Your final comment is probably one of the most important ones. Good work! Renee Shaffer

Thomas, sometimes just by looking over your materials with a "fresh eye" you can see ways of making your content more accessible. Renee Shaffer
Thomas, That is so true. The pressure of time can be detrimental for students with disabilities such as those with PTSD or panic disorders. Renee Shaffer
Willie , Excellent point. They say that people's attention spans are short so we get bored if we ahve to click through 1-3x. What would it be like for someone with disabilities to have to click through course materials 6-7x? Very aggravating. Renee Shaffer
