Parrish, It is also good to talk with the Office throughout the term because students with disabilities may come to the forefront any time during the term not just at the beginning. Renee Shaffer

Parrish, Yes, post-secondary education can come as quite a shock for many students. Renee Shaffer
Parrish, Yes, it is sometimes possible for the instructor to think that the student is "lazy". But it is always a good idea for instructors to also be proactive and maybe ask the "lazy" student what is going on in their lives. Renee Shaffer
Parrish, I am surprised that you don't provide special keyboard, etc through your disability services office. But it is great that you can guide them to the right place. Renee Shaffer
Parrish, Yes, we still want students to do their parts in the educational process, but if we can be helpful and guiding, it can help them be the best students that they can be. Renee Shaffer
