Michael, Great! it is always good to check with their academic advisor. But sometimes the academic advisor has not been given any notice about a disability. So in higher education, it is best for instructors to check with the disability services office because they would have the information not the academic advisors. Renee Shaffer
Parrish, Correct. It is especially true if the assignment or components are required. One can't leave a whole segment of the student population out of the loop. Renee Shaffer

Parrish, Yes, closed captioning needs to be included. They are many companies out there which can provide the service and there really isn't a standard. Much depends on the money that the institution has. One that I heard about today is called 3PlayMedia. Renee Shaffer
