Scott, Yes, and your communication can be both direct and focused. Dr. Ruth Reynard
Victoria, On the "up" side, though, because you are relying so heavily on text and student presentations of thought, it helps you as an instructor focus on each student and follow their thinking process more closely - sometimes in a F2F environment, it is difficult to keep direct contact and follow the path of each student - particularly if you have a large class... abdalla, Great examples! Please share more in the instructional forum in the faculty lounge on this site - these practical examples are very helpful to other teachers :) Dr. Ruth Reynard

abdalla, Yes, new technology can really help with subjects like Math - also finding the reasons for the Math in real life contexts really helps provide relevance for students... Dr. Ruth Reynard

What are the various types and modes of blended delivery that you have seen, experienced, or delivered for your students?  Check out this 2012 resource on blended delivery options:

Carl, Excellent examples - yes, interacting with various educational software can develop new approaches and applications never seen before...I would suggest that the students can also develop "transferable skills" such as critical thinking, self-directed problem solving, and collaboration as well - I would love if you would share more examples in the instructional exchange forum in the faculty lounge here on the MaxKnowledge site... Carl, Great comments! So, the process is absolutely central, which is wonderful...in other disciplines too, this is where the true learning can be evaluated. Thank you for sharing such a clear example... Dr. Ruth Reynard

Carl, Great examples! The idea of community problem solving is extremely effective and develops additional transferable skills such as clear communication, collaboration, goal setting, and problem solving as well as the content itself. Great job! Dr. Ruth Reynard
Martha, This sounds like a good balance - providing the projects gives students a chance to both explore and demonstrate their learning process - great! Dr. Ruth Reynard
