Activity

A learning-objects database is a repository to store files, graphics, audio, video, has made updating and editing assignments much easier. It also allows me to share with other instructors. 

I started out as Know Me and I was put in front of class and had find my teaching style first. I then learned to communicate with students ina positive manner and then I moved on to learning to teach different types of students. I am learning new ways to communicate and instruct my students effectively everyday. This was one of the most interesting classes. 

 

I do like working with the oline environment and technology because it allows me to deliver educational material on many different platforms. Adults learners must stay engaged and as an educator we have to find ways to help them achieve thier goals and engaged. 

 

I feel as though I am a combination of all eight and as an instructor I like to add different learning modules because it also keeps me motivated. Looking for new ways to present content will also keep the instructor up to date on new teaching material. 

 

I have learned that the traditional way of teaching is outdated and not beneficia for today's students. Instuctors need to engage all of their students and pay close attention to the different learning needs of each student. Instructors that engage different activities in the learning environment will keep all students engaged. Keeping students engaged helps with retention. 

 

I would like to see more real lfe scenario based questions incorporated into our LMS testing assessments. I feel students will gain more knowledge and a better understanding than you multiple choice questions. 

 

I enjoyed reading through the different types of learning activities to engage students in terminology. The assignment that I would implement in class first would be the Draw a tem because students have better retention when they are physically a part of the activity. 

 

I liked all of the suggetions for increasing the retention of medical terminology. If I had to chose I would implement the mystery term week  because this activity also carried over afer school. I also liked make a match becaue that would really get them motivated in school. 

 

I like secret ID because it can be used to teach different subject. I like it for teaching clinical and terminology. I think that this will engage students and also help to reinforce the information.

 

Lecturing is an ongoing learing process. I never really thought about how fast I talk. I have been told by students but when I saw how many words should be in a minute that make a lot of sense.
