Kevin, I love the use of rubrics to provide meaningful feedback to students and also for peer reviews. Thanks for bring that to the conversation.
Eyad, Definitely. You're right. When the rubric is provided to students up front with the explanation, the rubric and explanation work hand in hand to help students understand the expectations. Thanks!

Kevin, The presentation of the information and the content itself are both important. Connecting them to the learning objective is important as well. Thanks!

Eyad, Do you mean adapt or adopt in your first sentence? Please clarify. Thanks!

Kevin, Right on! We don't want the students to be confused and we want them to know what they are working toward. Good job.

Eyad, The objectives/outcomes are the first consideration. We have to think about this in all we do in our assignments, rubrics, course development, etc. Thanks!
William, I agree. Many instructors use Rubistar. I many times start with a rubric generator, but then tweak it to make it my own and to make it match the course/learning objectives. Thanks!
William, Definitely. You can't simply recycle one rubric for many assignments or subjects. We have to align them with the objectives and "tweak" them accordingly. Thanks!

Virginia, This has been fixed. Thank you for your post. I think originally the question was which of the following is NOT. . .but we changed "NOTS" but I must have forgotten to change the answers. My bad. Thank you again.

Keith, And, the rubric helps set the expectations so the students know what they are working toward. That helps as well.
