Clyde, I agree with these methods, for accomodating various student learning styles. I try to use a compilation of these methods, within every lecture in order to maximize the student retention of information. Ironically, I have found that many of my students diversify their learning styles once they experience a lecture, with a multi-faceted presentation concept. Tremayne Simpson

Michael, This is an effective approach for properly identifying prior student knowledge. I always advise faculty to teach the "feeder" pre-requisite courses, prior to taking on the advanced-level classes. With this method the instructor can better understand the course sequencing and expected student skill transitions. Tremayne Simpson
