More video tapes an option?
Continuing my question about constant nervousness in class lectures.Do you think I should do more video tapes to offset the effect my nerves might have on my students grasping lessons effectively?
No, if you use the video tapes as a crutch the students will pick up on it immediately. the videos that i use is to make a point or to drive a point home. We all go thru the new instructor jitters, you will reach your stride. Remember the old adage, never let them see you sweat. Have confidence in your subject and your self, you will do fine.

Hi Isiah,
Make sure your use of any media, like videos is based upon enhancing the learning of your students. Don't hide behind the media. Use it as a tool. By using a blend of your lectures and media you will be able to share content with your students effectively. Don't shy away from presenting to your students even though you may have a case of the nerves. By preparing well and developing confidence in your abilities you will soon find yourself developing better presentation skills as well as stronger feelings about your abilities as an instructor.
