With out a doubt this course helped me to understand what this disability is about and the challenges that the students face. Also how I can go about trying to help students to succeed. I appreciate this course. Good course.
I truly learnt alot from this course about students with learning diabilities. This course has been an eye opener for me.
I do appreciate the success strategies suggested in this course to help deal with students with English as the learning language. And also the point that many of these success strategies can even help with students outside this group.

Through this course I have come to appreciate the effect that placing students in groups can do to help contribute to how effective students are in class and also helps in building bonds with students.
I understand how repeating the same point to some degree can cause some students to tune out. What do I do if I can see and feel students getting bored and tuning out with repeating a certain point over board during a lecture?
Do you have any suggestion on how to deal with students not asking questions as much as required to fill the time slot alotted especially when lectures are prepared not to fill all of the class time?
I wanted to add to the process of helping students get to know each other. During introducing ourselves as instructors I know we have to take the lead and set the pase for how students will react to each other as well as to us as the instructor all the while keeping mind that these are adults like ourselves so we can't push and seek too much personal information.
Continuing my question about constant nervousness in class lectures.Do you think I should do more video tapes to offset the effect my nerves might have on my students grasping lessons effectively?

No matter how prepared I am with my lesson plans and knowledge I am still always a little nervous and feels that interferes with the way I deliver my lectures because I know students can probabely sense nerves. Any suggestions?
