First impression

Making a good first impression is key. I think that showing up for class early and testing all equipment is a great idea. I didn't do that when I taught my first class, but it is something I will incorporate next time. I know I will feel much more organized that way.

First impressions are the most important because you never have a second chance to make a 1st impression.

the environment is improtant for the first impression but i also think that personal preparedness and introduction are key-I did not have this opportunity since i was shadowing and it made a difference with my credibility...

Making sure the classroom and lab are neat when the students first come in makes it easier for them to see shat the standard of cleanliness is and what its expected to look like when they leave.

I agree, I do think first impression is important. I also did not come early to check out the room and that is something I'll do in the future
