By knowing student's learning technique it would be easier for the instructor to teach that student the best way to absorb information.
I will be more aware of each learning style and how to adapt the classroom setting. By offering different teaching strategies, this will allow each student to build on different strengths.

Hi Andrew - Welcome to ED 103! You're right- you will definitely see better learning outcomes when you make an effort to accomodate the various learning styles of your students.
I just came up with this idea in order to accomadate all learning styles, and I wonder how it would be to try this experiment. Adminster a learning style questionaire, group students accordingly, and give a class project, having each group submit the project according to their learning style. The visual group could do something visual, the auditory could do a speaking presentation and the kinesthetic could build a model. Does this sound too far off?

The benefits of knowing the learning styles is that an instructor can prepare class delivery to accomodate the different ways that students learn. Teaching to the different styles should help instructors acheive the desired learning outcomes from their students.
Hi Charles - Teaching the same material over and over can certainly become monotonous, sometimes leading to "teacher burnout". As you mention, looking for new ways to present the information keeps it exciting. Thanks for your post!
