How can student feedback help you to keep your focus on your students?
Student feedback helps you understand how your students are feeling about the course and lecture material.
My students are my customers. By soliciting and analyzing their feedback, I can tailor my classes to their needs and insure that my educational goals for my students are met. Soliciting feedback from students goes a long way with developing rapport with them also. It clearly illustrates that you are interested in their educational well-being which makes for an enjoyable educational experience for student and instructor alike.

student feedback allows for you to refocus and see what is working well, and what you might need to improve on in the class. This also allows for the class to tell you what they like and don't like about the class.
i think when students give a feedback will make u realized in what area are u more weak and wish areas u need to improved and work in those areas for your new class and try not to make the same mistakes and learn from it.

I think student feedback is a must! They are the ones that know if you are teaching them the information well enough for them to pass the exams and get their degree. As a new teacher, I often ask for feedback because my main goal is making sure the student is learning the material that I am presenting and being able to apply that information when in the clinic and when on the job.

sometimes we forget we are not talking to veteran techs and may be speaking and explaining things to people and its completely going over thier heads. this puts it back into focus so we can hit them with the point.

Student feedback is a direct response from your target audience. If the student is not receiving the message you are trying to send then you need to know as soon as possible. Letting students provide feedback also involves them in their learning process so they may participate more.
I find that student feedback is crucial in keeping all students but particularly the ones who have yet to buy in. Feedback by no means has to be negative and that positive feedback is definately an equal part to students feedbacks.
It creates a classroom environment where students see constructive criticism as a good thing and understand that learning can’t occur without practice.

This is a good point that you make. We need to have a way that we can let the students know they need help and then provide it in a low risk way. If we don't it is easy for the students to just drop out and we lose them.

An instructor may think she is doing a good job in imparting the information and not know that some students got lost a couple of steps back. Even though we tell them to come to us immediately if they are having a problem, many students will not take that risk. If we give them an avenue to anonymously tell us something they need from us then we can determine if a change is needed.
