Engaging students
engaging with students are so important in a class room... students feed back helps the teacher to understand there learning .
I agree in engaging with a student. I t helps them to understander the feed back of the teacher when they are learning. Asurring them that they are successfully achieve what is being teached.
Yes Laura student feedback is a great avenue for familiarizing yourself with your students learning styles and capabilities.
June,
Good way to help students connect the dots between content and application. By being able to discuss the content in a way that reinforces what has been presented the knowledge retention is going to be enhanced.

I always use open ended questions for the students, as well as have students to come the class the next day with questions pertaining to the lecture the day before.
I agree engaging with students in class is so important. Not only to get their feedback of if they are really understanding the subject matter but I believe each student can learn not only from the instructor but from their classmates as well. That is one comment I hear almost daily that working together helps give the class a different perspective on the subject and at timesthey learn more. T.F.
I think engaging the students in the class subject is essential to understand as an instructor how much they have understood and whether you need to repeat the information you gave them for better understanding or you can go on and proceed in building up the rest of the subject knowledge.
Hi Laura,
Both good strategies for working with students and helping them to see the progress that have made and will make in the course.
