I believe giving homework so that they have had the book and reading it with review questions that shows me what students either realy want to be there or justto be there by a court mandated parole. I belive that sooner than later most students love school and make a huge turnaround. My biggest issue that I have to let my students find there way on their on with all the access and direction I give to thrm. Let's face it, there are some no matter what you do just do ot care. What do you think?

Motivation

My students feel using the white board, talking about real life situations, going on field trips and using power points realy help he alot. just reading from a book is boring to them and they block me ot. I am energetic an always moving which gives them motivation and helps them succed.

How to get students motivated when they do not want to be in school?

This question is one that interests me and I will tell you why. I have some great students but once in awhile there is always one that you just can't get through to. They only are in school for reasons other than their education or advancing into a professional career. I try alot of different motivational games, tasks and just asking what could I do better. It is never the correct answer something is always wrong either they are sick,tired or they just don't care. Any suggestions? These are students that are about 17 to 32 years of age. Thank… >>>

I found this course to be very information to look outside the box. What I mean by that is always look and think, what are your students thinking when they are watching you teach. If you are not professional it shows to them it is really not important. I am always dressed to impress but now I have a new outlook, it opened my eyes to many ideas and aspects to teaching. The most important item is that we are here for our students and if we do not have any or they do not care our jobs will… >>>
