Its Just a Matter of Time
That precious resource called time never seems to be on our side. The manner in which we manage it is the key to our success or ultimate failure. However, I have found that those times that I may "deviate" from my task at hand in many instances are productive. Is staying on task important? Of course it is, but as long as we make the most of our limited resource of time, we are the better for it.
Kind Regards,
Lee
I think that is a great idea-to set goals each morning. I find that emails and student/staff pop-ins tend to slow me down and derail my time management.
Sometimes we need to take a break from the task at hand in order to maintain focus. I have found, in the past, I'm able to finish a task at hand more effectively if I take a short break, even if just to stand up and stretch.
That's tough Kevin. Sounds like you're really balancing a lot.
It seems that even when I have a Light schedual thier is not time to finish every thimg that needs to be done for the class
I agree, I adjust my goals to match my available time. My pay is hourly, so often I adjust my scheduled hours to allow me to more effectively achieve my goals without overtime.
That's a great approach Jeremy. I too like to set goals at the start of each day. I get tasks off of my list and write them on a little post it note that I can carry with me throughout the day.
Time seems to get away from you so fast. But I have learned to set goals before my day starts,so the things that need to be done get done by the end of day.
never enough time i agree
