Priorities

In food service, prioritizing is as important as anything else. As teachers, we can apply the same principals we use in the kitchen to our class work.

I also agree. I worked in manufacturing as a supervisor and I find myself prioritzing as I did on the manufacturing floor to keep me on track and keep the students on track.

I used to work in a smoothie shop long ago in high school, and you're totally right Steven! I would have never made the connection if I hadn't read your post. People who have worked in the food service industry definitely have to know how to prioritize and work quickly and efficiently, and always with a smile on their face. This is exactly what we need to do as teachers. Good call!
