Online Discussion Groups
As of result of a large class rooms I have seen the benefits of using an Online Discussion Groups. It gives me the opportunity to clarify class material,share ideas and knowledge.
Maurice, That's a really interesting use of online groups. You are in part using them as a barometer to test knowledge and mastery of the subject matter. Great approach.

I like the Online Discussion Groups. While its intended use is to share ideas, it also allows for the opportunity to see if the information/message has has been presented clearly to the class.

I have not used much the online group discussions, but I think are important and necessary, we may share important elements of the class with the students and also key points of the class we want to get students in my school are used the Forum, the instructor puts assessment topics for discussion and the discussion then there is also an electronic portal system that allows to interact with students, I think it is very good idea.

I have a PDF that I update on how to operate equipment in a certain room. Created in word, I can update it everytime I come up with somthing else to add. Hopefully someday it will be an ultimate quick start guide.
Yes, online discussion groups are beneficial even for the incorporating technology skills.
Great point Maria! Online discussion groups are also a great method of asynchronous communication. This kind of communication helps students ask questions and professors respond at times that work best for them.
