More time helps...

Managing your time helps a lot. Try to keep a good perspective about it. Use a scheduler.

I agree Alice. It's great to set reasonable goals for ourselves for each day. Often times, we experience stress because our expectations of ourselves and others are too high.

I think list help a lot. It allows you to put everything in order. Sometimes we have so much to do we get overwhelmed. It is nice to be able to break it up and finish a few things each day.

Sounds like a great system Mike. Thanks for sharing. Use of production schedules does work well for culinary. Other disciplines require leveraging other kinds of best practices.

I teach culinary, I find having my students use production schedules is very helpful for them.

Nice approach Cameron. It's good to be polite but also to communicate our needs and expectations of others. Finding a good balance between the two works best.

I've found that I can deal with others trying to disrupt my time by being polite, but stern when communicating that I am busy.

We have managers that always disrupt our attempts at managing our time. Being given so many tasks and then to have our small amount of time interrupted by a meeting that we must attend leaves little time to complete the original task given. I wish they would make up my mind!

Yes, managing your time certainly does help. When we budget our time and make plans within the limits of what our schedule permits, we often identify what's really important to focus on.
