Stress by selection

In my opinion, we are in control of our behavior; therefore, we can choose to allow which potential stressors are going to stress us out.

I think it's simply part of some people's personalities. It takes a lot to get me riled up. I let most things roll off of me while some co-workers flip out about what to me seems like nothing. Everybody has hot button issues though. The things that do eventually get to me are probably no big deal to somebody else. Again, it's all personal.

Stress can be hard to deal with in the classroom.

I agree.We decide whats going to stress us and how we are going to handle it.

It's true Joseph. A little challenge in life makes it interesting. Challenge drives us to refine our skills and grow. Too much challenge is the problem and something we need to watch for.

I agree,taking on challenges can be stressful but it also reaps rewards. Life would be boring without challenges and the stress that comes with it is worth it.

Some stress is helpful Robert. To your point, it helps us grow a little. It's when we take on too much that stress becomes a problem. We snap.

Stress isn't all that bad. If a rubber band isn't stretched it will not hold a newspaper together in a roll. People need to be stretched but not broken. Stress can be a dynamic to move an individual to a higher level of performance.
