When Workplace and Home are One

I see the stress caused by each environment and how type of stress is unique to its environment but what happens when those environments are not separate? I teach online, so my work environment is my home environment and vice versa. While I do not think I am overly stressed, what happens if I do become stressed? How do I separate the two or is there a special way that those who work from home have to approach stress?

Amanda, That's a tough situation and I've been there. Sometimes when working in the home, we've got to define workspaces for home and work tasks. For example, taking your work to a specific part of the house - like a home office - can help.

Robert, So true! Working from home is great but it has drawbacks. One major challenge is keeping our home life peaceful. Sometimes taking a break really does mean getting out of the house!

Being self-employed I understand. We have to leave home to get away from work. Hobbies such as baseball and music are a distraction from work and deadlines.
