Dealing with stress

Always have a strategy on what you day is going to be like, and have a back up plan is things go wrong.

I would agree with you that the students are very perceptive and pick up on faculty stresses.

Being able to go with the flow and having alternative and back-up plans are a must.

Laura, I very much like your thinking! It's always important to plan for the worst just in case. Often times, we don't end up using our backup plans. However, just knowing that they are there can give us tremendous piece of mind.

I always have a backup plan in case the computer is not working. I usually prepare a group project that I can give anytime. I also have extra handouts ready. I have a backup to my backup!

Back up plans are important because it's a way of preparing yourself for something in case your original plan doesn't work. It is more stressful if you don't have a back up plan because last minute you're trying to figure out what to do.

Robert, That sounds like smart thinking. It's critically important to always have a backup plan for the unexpected. This way, we can manage through life's curve balls gracefully.

I agree. A back up plan is a must, things happen.

I as well have contingencies plans just in case there are those days when things are not working properly eliminating any issues of stress. When the instructor is stressed the student quickly pick up on that.

This sentence is wrong. you forgot your R in your and is, is suppose to be when. I always try to have a back-up plan to my back-up plan.

I often have a backup plan if my initial plan goes wrong such as use of a projector and what will I do if it does not work.

Tartesa, Back up planning is particularly important! Often times, we do not have a plan B and when things don't go according to plan, we have a hard time managing through it all.
